
Who We Are
Our History
A Sunday School was started at the lumber yard in Linwood on November 19, 1896. The Sunday School moved to the hall in the school building at Linwood on Sunday, October 16, 1898. The Brethren Church was organized on December 15, 1903 at the home of Nathan Englar and thirteen (13) members were present. The Brethren Church at Linwood Maryland was dedicated with appropriate services on Sunday, November 5, 1905. The Church has and continues to practice the apostolic doctrines, as we understand them to be taught by our Lord and the Apostles. Salvation by grace through faith and Christ as the Son of God. Baptism by triune immersion, the three (3) fold communion and holy living.

Mission Statement
The purpose of the Linwood Brethren Church is to go out and: share the Good News of Jesus with the unsaved, disciple the saved to spiritual maturity and equip the spiritually mature for ministry.
Vision Statement
Linwood is a community Church that has a deep sense of community within. A Family of Faith...that has become family to many. Bringing others into the family of faith through living out the Great Commission by loving God most and loving others best.
